DSC-S1E14 To Be Or Not To Be Star Fleet When Fighting The Klingons
"The War Without and the War Within"
The U.S.S. Discovery is back in its own universe, and things are a mess. The Klingons control most of Federation space, and House D'Ghor got a screaming deal on Starbase 1. Within 100 AUs of earth, Star Fleet must do something to end the war, and L'Rell tells the Admiral that the only option is "to conquer us." But the Federation doesn't conquer worlds - so now what? They go underground, of course!
Moms Going Boldly is two moms who are Star Trek fans and who also happen to write about autism, talking about the new Star Trek: Discovery television series. We make comparisons to the older series, the movies, and throw in a little bit of autism when we see it. It's not polished, it won't come out regularly but we're having fun!

Within the span of 3 days, T'Kuvma, Connor, Tyler, Georgiou, Landry and Lorca have all tried to kill her. Saru was not holding back all that much on Pahvo. 6 of her closest friends and allies have tried to kill her in the the past 3 days and she has been forced to kill 2 or 3 of them. She has barely had any sleep. But, people still want her to be able to comfort Tyler??? Burnham actually is Human. No Vulcan training can compensate for the stress and emotions raging through Burnham at that moment. And it's not like she is going to sufficient time to process and desires any time soon. At least Tyler has a few hours to just hang with some friends without any duties and sleep if wants to and process everything he's been through in the last few days. Burnham doesn't have that luxury. She's the one who needs comfort. She was counting on Tyler for that, but then he tried to kill her just yesterday. There is no way she is going to be able to deal with him in any rational way so soon. That is only Human.

Burnham has had to fight Saru on Pahvo, watch Tyler mentally flip out on the Sarcophagus ship, plant the 2nd scanner by herself and survive a fight with T'Kuvma. Whatever sleep she might have gotten on Tyler's couch was interrupted by a black alert and the jump to the MU. It was probably less than 10 hours between fight Saru and the jump to the MU. --- Then she had to hold Tyler's hand through retrieving the data core, convince Tyler to get checked out by Culber, analyze the data core and prep everyone for how to survive as their MU doppelgängers. Still on less than 8 hours sleep. Burnham, Tyler and Lorca beam over to the Shenzhou, she has to order Lorca into the agony booth, she has to fight and kill Connor, watching him die again. She finds solace from all that madness in Tyler's arms - engaging in romantic sex for the first time in her life. In the morning, she has to accept MU Saru as her slave and space a bunch of "thought criminals" while also figuring out a way to get the needed intel back to the Disco. She's ordered to destroy innocent lives at the Resistance base, she watches Tyler flip out again, she learns that really the first person she ever loved and had sex with was Voq in disguise, Voq tries to kill her and she has to pretend to space Tyler in order to get the data to the Disco. Within another couple of hours, the Resistance base is destroyed by Emperor Georgiou!!! She has to meet with Georgiou. She finds herself forced to eat a Kelpien she thought she was freeing, she learns Lorca is really from the MU. She has to fight Landry and Lorca. She watches Georgiou stab a huge ass sword through Lorca's back and rescue Georgiou.
