Oh look, it's Spock. Finally. Still no answers on the red angel thing and we're starting to yawn.

But wait! The "B" story is really the "A" story for us - adventure! Conflict! Science fiction! Captain Pike and Ash Tyler are sorting out who's in charge and earning each other's grudging respect. They may not like each other but they are starting to learn to appreciate each other.
